JOB DETAILS:

JOB ROLE/ PURPOSE:
To promote all SACCO investments in order to enhance financial stability and client satisfaction

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
1. Ensuring effective Reporting and accountability to the relevant authorities for quality decision making
1. Reviewing SACCOs financial statements to determine its financial stability.
2. Build and maintain financial models to support investment analysis and decision-making.
3. Prepare detailed investment recommendations for review by management.
4. Generate reports detailing portfolio performance, risk, and exposure.


2. Conduct Investment planning, monitoring and control of all investment projects in order to achieve competitive returns on investment
1. Recommending changes to investment plans based on new information or changing circumstances.
2. Monitor global economic, political, and market developments to identify opportunities and risks associated with the different investment portfolios.
3. Conduct fundamental research on companies, industries, and markets to support investment decisions.
4. Monitor portfolios on an ongoing basis to ensure that positions are consistent with approved investment guidelines.

3. Carry out Risk identification and management to minimize possible losses on investment
1. Keep abreast of new developments in the investment industry and share insights with SACCOs management.
2. Working with SACCO members to create a comprehensive financial plan that addresses their current and future needs.
3. Determining how much risk is involved in a particular investment based on the nature of the investment, the client’s financial situation, and other factors.

4. Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure implementation of set service standards
1. Attend and participate in regular management meetings and other key stakeholders.
2. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.
3. Managing the administrative aspects of an investment program, including filing required paperwork with regulators.


PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce
2. Desirable Professional membership from relevant bodies

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Experience
1. Minimum of 3 years experience in investment analysis or portfolio management

1. Planning
2. Expenditure management and Budgetary control
3. Financial reporting
4. Risk management and assurance
5. Change management
6. Negotiation and management
7. Policy management

SPECIAL SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
1. Good administrative and public relations skills
2. Exceptional math skills with the ability to calculate complex financial data
3. Proven experience developing and managing investment portfolios
4. Strong understanding of investment products, including stocks, bonds, and real estate business
5. Honest, approachable, team player, Intelligible and Resourceful
