JOB DETAILS:

Job Description
1. Coordinate, develop and evaluate standard operating procedures in Kampala and Sites.
2. Ensure the implementation of the company security plan, Kampala security plan, Sites security Plan and standard operating procedures.
3. Ensure that the Company's security policy is applied in the perimeter of the Operations
4. Identify potential vulnerabilities and threats to protect entity personnel, assets, and information in Kampala and in the Country.
5. Coordinate operations with authorities in Kampala and on Site.
6. Conduct weekly security threat assessments.
7. Ensure a security alert and reporting procedure is implemented for Kampala and Sites. Ensure that all security incidents are reported to the security manager.
8. Advise Company entities on all security matters in Uganda.
9. Conduct Regular internal reviews, surveys and audits to assess security performance.
10. Ensure that all security incidents must be reported to be traced and the appropriate corrective measures implemented.
11. Implement, and maintain a physical protection system to deter, detect, and delay with the goal to deny and provide an appropriate response to malevolent acts and undesirable events.
12. Control the work of security contractors in Kampala and on several sites. Ensure that the security procedures are adhered to.
13. Ensure that activities are conducted with respect of the Voluntary Principles on Security and Human Rights (VPSHR).
14. Ensure that VPSHR are properly applied by the contractors and the security forces (UPDF, Police and Oil & Gas Police) — organize regular training with all stakeholders.
15. Ensure that the POB procedures and follow up are in place and strictly adhered too.
16. Ensure that all necessary sites are well equipped with suitable and reliable telecommunication tools.
17. Organize any relevant security training and exercises for the company or the contractors.
18. Ensure that all entities must take the appropriate measures to protect Company's information assets.
19. Update the evacuation plan in coordination with the security manager.
20. Identify the need for additional security resources when required.
21. Participate to the Call For Tender regarding security services.

Candidate profile
1. University Degree or equivalent
2. Minimum 8 years of experience in security (Private Security Company, Army, or Police)
3. Experience with security in industrial facilities is an added advantage.
4. In depth knowledge of Company policy and regulations.
