JOB DETAILS:

Qualifications:
• Studying or have completed a degree in social work, psychology or a related field.
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Cultural sensitivity and understanding of the challenges faced by disadvantaged groups.
• Compassion, empathy and a genuine desire to help individuals and families in need.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with the DHEF team and experienced social workers to assess the needs of individuals and families within communities.
• Aid team in emotional support and counselling to children, young people and adults facing various challenges.
• Assist in the development and implementation of community programmes and initiatives aimed at improving well-being.
• Collaborate with the team to identify and connect individuals with relevant resources (including healthcare, education and social services).
• Assist in-home visits and assessments to better understand the living conditions and challenges faced by families with team members and volunteer professionals.
• Maintain confidential and accurate records of client interactions and progress.
• Participate in team meetings, conferences and training sessions.
• Assist in advocacy efforts to raise awareness of social issues and promote positive change within the community.
