Kreston HM, a partnership firm, is a professional service firm having its headquarters in Kampala and a branch in Jinja Town, Uganda. We are available locally with international affiliation.
The firm provides Audit, Tax, Accounting and Advisory services and industry insights to help organizations manage risk and performance in the dynamic and challenging environments in which they do business.
Kreston HM is a certified member firm of Kreston Global representing them in Uganda. Hitesh Mehta & Co. was formed in September 2005 and was also successfully enrolled as a member of ICPAU (Institute of Certified Public Accountants Uganda) in November 2005. In 2015 Hitesh Mehta & Co. was incorporated as partnership firm as Santa Fe Associates, which then transformed into Nexia HMS Associates in April 2018, then into Kreston HM in January 2023.

Tax advisors oversee their clients' tax planning, preparation, and filing. They build and maintain relationships with businesses and individuals to provide tax support or services. These professionals may also review company budgets and financial documents to provide tax advice.
1. Prepare required tax filings for their clients in compliance with applicable guidelines.
2. Guide their clients on the possible tax implications of different business or financial decisions.
3. Managing the tax audits of the company or client. Tax managers coordinate between the tax agency and their clients to gather all required documentation.
4. Tax advisors often have supervisory responsibilities over more junior tax employees. They must oversee others' work and provide ongoing support and mentorship.
5. Tax professionals review many documents, such as letters or tax forms, created by other team members.

Skills & Requirements:
1. Tax advisors must be knowledgeable about relevant tax regulations and deadlines.
2. Even with strong knowledge of tax code, tax advisors need to be skilled at researching tax issues. This is because tax regulations change frequently and vary significantly across regions.
3. Tax advisors should thoroughly understand public accounting standards and best practices
4. CPA or ACCA qualified personnel are preferable
5. The candidate should have experience in handling tax related matters with URA
