Overview
The job entails designing and conceptualizing awamo’s business product requirements to best suit user interface appeal and user experience.
Qualifications

Academic/Skills

• Bachelors’ degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or any other related field – equivalent work experience will be considered as well
  
• Fluency in English

Work experience

• Min. 3 years working experience in UI/UX design and implementation (websites, web-applications, Android®) in a professional, high-demanding environment
  
• Experience in developing UI/UX for financial services or high-end applications
  
• Experience in high demand prototyping & documentation (design handbooks)
• Proficient expertise in:
  

• HTML5
  
• CSS
  
• JavaScript
  
• WordPress
  
• Adobe Photoshop
  
• Adobe Illustrator
  
• Bootstrap
  
• Material Design
  
• PowerPoint

Responsibilities & duties

• Align with the product management team about features, design/UI/UX and priorities
  
• Develop and maintain awamo’s website (WordPress based)
  
• Update company on latest UI trends and technology
  
• Develop mockups and design concepts to facilitate application development
  
• Continuously test for user experience on existing and newly developed features
  
• Collaborate with product management and development to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction visuals and experience
  
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final handoff to development
  
• Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
  
• Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
  
• Identify design problems and devise elegant solutions

Key Performance Indicators

• Turnaround time to develop conceptual designs
  
• Customer feedback about user experience
