About The Hive:
The Hive Group is the leading honey and bee products company in Africa. The Group has for years invested in research, innovation and training to ensure that the most modern and appropriate technologies for the African Bee and has come up with modern beekeeping equipment suitable for African conditions that can provide the right quality of honey and other bee products. The group completes the value chain, by guaranteeing market for all the bee products such as comb honey, propolis, royal Jelly, wax, sting venom and pollen from all the farmers whom it supplies equipment and services. The Hive Group seeks to assist farmers to be able to produce bee products using modern technologies which it guarantees market practical training and technical support. This is achieved through an ecosystem of stakeholders the farmer being the core key stakeholder.
Job Summary: The Direct Sales Representative will attract and source new sales opportunities and close sales for beekeeping equipment and bees’ products to achieve and exceed sales targets. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Achieve and exceed personal and team sales targets of bee keeping equipment & products
• Qualify prospects, generate and follow through sales leads in line with The Hive products
• Forecast sales plans and models and share with the Team Leader/Supervisor for implementation purposes
• Create and build productive/business long lasting relationships with customers in line with The Hive customer charter
• The incumbent will research, expand and maintain client database within your area of coverage
• Report and provide daily feedback to the Team Leader addressing challenges, support needed and business need
• Attend meetings, sales events and trainings to keep abreast of the latest developments
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• The ideal candidate for the Direct Sales Representative must hold a University degree from a recognized university
• Six months plus experience in direct selling preferably from Agri – input sector, banking or FMCG
• Demonstrated ability and passion to sell and develop a career in sales
• Strong awareness of the agribusiness sector
• Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection
• A confident and determined approach
• Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A high degree of self-motivation and drive
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
• The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment
