Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation (TMF) is a fully registered Non-Governmental Organization that was started as an initiative in 2013 by former child mothers who turned their negative experience into a positive action. The Organization’s mandate is to provide promote gender equality and empower adolescent girls and young women though holistic programs that address their critical needs while putting greater emphasis on ending teenage pregnancy, child marriages and supporting girls to stay in school and complete school.
KCCA with the support from UNICEF is implementing together with Trailblazers Mentoring Foundation a social protection programme for adolescent girls in the city through the adolescent girls’ cash plus mentoring and empowerment programme to improve their social and economic inclusion, and protection.
To attain the programme results, TMF is looking for 15 lead mentors who want to give back to the community and contribute towards positively impacting lives of adolescent girls in the city. If you are passionate about the girl child and can spare a minimum of 3 hours per week or more and if you like to lead a group of 5 part time peer mentors, this is an opportunity for you.

Person Specification: we are looking for; adult women role models/mentors who are
• Graduate degree holders in various fields
• Role model to young adolescent girls
• Resilient and able to hold challenging conversations with peer mentors and mentees
• Willing to work with a team who ‘go the extra mile’ for adolescent girls ;
• Committed to high standards of attainment and behavior;
• Passionate about children, girls and their learning;
• Competent in spoken/written English and Luganda;
• Demonstrated knowledge of existing social services available for adolescent girls in Kampala City
