Rakai Health Sciences Program is a collaborative Bio—medical research and service delivery organization. lt strives to improve the quality of life of the local population through a combination of community based research, curative services and prevention strategies. It is based at the Uganda Virus Research Institute - Entebbe and Kalisizo in Ftakai District.

The Program, in collaboration with the AIDS Control program (ACP) of the Ministry of Health, has been funded to conduct the “Evaluation of the Impact of the National Program for Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV (PMTCT) in Uganda” study in 206 Health facilities based in theitollowing districts:

2 Data Entry Clerk (One year contract)

Job responsibility:

• Ensure proper storage/filing of forms in designated places
• Ensure there is proper tracking of form movement from and to the stores
• Carries out proper logging in of forms received
• Uses passwords to enter into databases data collected by the survey/census teams using designed entry programs.
• Ensure completeness of double data entry where it is necessitated
• Runs inconsistency programs and makes edits on the stored data.
• Makes routine backups at scheduled inten/als
• Ensure proper storage of forms and I backups
• Reports to the Data Management Officer any errors made by the field l teams found on the forms
• Reports to the Data Management Officer any malfunctions in the computer.

Required Knowledge, Skills and abilities

Specifications;

• Degree or Diploma in Secretarial 3 studies or related field from a recognized institution
• Good typing skills
• Must be computer literate
• Experience in data entry and or records management
