JOB DETAILS:
Position: EEG technicians (2 Posts)
Qualifications and abilities:
• A diploma or high school education with evidence of on-the-job training in EEG, however one with a certificate or associate degree in EEG will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 1 years work experience in a hospital or research setting.
• Knowledge in reading and distinguishing particular kinds of brainwave patterns.
• Experience in preparing, operating and maintaining electroencephalograph machines.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in three or more local languages will be an added advantage.
• Flexibility to travel and reside in various districts all over Uganda over a two-year period.
• Expected to live in a nearby location next to the respective study clinics set up in various districts all over Uganda.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Reports to the Project Coordinator.
• Able to apply electrodes to patients’ heads and conduct an EEG procedure.
• Able to correct for any electrical and mechanical interference, in the EEG machine.

Duty Station:
Respective study clinics set up in various districts all over Uganda.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: Associate Degree
