JOB DETAILS:
An events company is looking for personnel in various fields and below are some of the available positions.

Applications are invited from qualified personnel to fill the following positions

EVENTS MANAGER
As an events manager, one’s major role is to have the ability to implement creative ideas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow up on availability of items per the preset event idea.
• Ensure all required items are gotten in time, managed and handled carefully
• Liaise with the Creative Director on how best to implement event ideas assigned to them.
• Must supervise all areas on the site to ensure quality and timely service delivery.
• Must ensure protection of company property on and off the event’s site.
• Must maintain the quality of property on and off the event’s site
• Create a report to the creative director on executed duties.
• Must pay close attention to details of the event set up to ensure quality output.
• Ensure creative implementation of ideologies on assigned events.
• Must ensure the best workers’ welfare on site.
• Create awareness of the company.
• Identification of the best service providers for better execution of assigned event.
• Ensure comprehensive research on new ideologies.
• Must ensure flexibility to do any other duty as assigned.

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• An Advanced level of Education or its equivalent, but with a creative mind.

B. EXPERIENCE
• At least three (3) years practical experience working in an events company. A recommendation letter from a previous workplace and staying near Kampala and Jinja Cities would be an added advantage.

C. AGE
• The applicant must be 21 - 34 years as at the close of the advert.

D. COMPETENCIES
(i) Technical Competencies
• Work and Activity scheduling skills.
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems.
• Ability to prove interest in events organization.
• Must be good at research and implementation.
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be a good listener to instruction
• Must have skills in Coordinating and monitoring.
• Ability to use hand and power tools/equipment.
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office).

(ii) Behavioral Competencies
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A good team player in diverse environments.
• Flexibility (ready to work beyond normal call of duty).
• Reliability with loyalty as a key factor.
• Precision and Attention to detail.
• Resilience in timely delivery of work

E. PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE JOB
• Physical Strength: Ability to lift, handle, and move fairly heavy tools and materials.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to withstand hours of work while standing, crouching or taking other rigorous positions.
