Job title: 2 Health Safety and Environment (HSE) Engineer
Salary Scale： UGX 2,000,000 + 5,000,000
Deadline: 15-Oct-2021
ROLE: The HSE Manager is responsible for design, development, implementation, communication and coordination of all environmental, health, safety programs for the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
• Liaise with the client, affected stakeholders and the Engineer, sub-contractors and suppliers in relation to the outlined responsibilities
• Managing the training and advancement of local employees and ensuring that knowledge of the company’s policies and procedures are included.
• Evaluates the compliance and risk exposures of the organization and utilizes control measures to remove mitigate or prevent unacceptable exposure communicating with Impact.
• Develop, Monitor, evaluate and report the effectiveness of the Company Health, Safety and Environmental management system and lead improvements to integrate enhancements into the business.
• Contributes to the development and enhancement of solutions that consider all relevant perspectives, data and drivers Monitoring & Assessing Compliance and Risks.
• Planning frequent SHEQ inspections & audits, ensuring coverage of all activities and in line with company protocols

Requirements
• Min Qualification: Bachelor‘s degree or above in Occupational Health Safety Management or Environmental Science, engineering, safety, i engineering related or equivalent
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Previous experience gained from the Oils and Gas sector is desirable
• Minimum of 8-years’ related experience , 4 years‘ in oil & gas related work experience in environmental management.
• Thorough knowledge of health and safety laws and guidelines
• Experience in dealing with government approvals representatives in a comparable context is desirable
• Good understanding of local and international health and safety laws, regulations and norms
• Compliance of National Content regulations.
• Second dose of Covid-19 vaccinated
