Job Purpose:
The Online Editor will be responsible for editing, publishing, and managing digital content for the organization’s websites and online platforms. This role ensures that online stories, videos, and multimedia content meet editorial standards.

Main Responsibilities:
• Edit and publish news articles, videos, and multimedia content to digital platforms.
• Ensure digital content adheres to quality, grammar, and editorial standards.
• Work with writers, producers, and reporters to optimize stories for online audiences.
• Monitor and update website content to reflect breaking news and trending topics.
• Enhance content using SEO strategies, keywords, and metadata for maximum visibility.
• Collaborate with social media teams to promote online content effectively.
• Analyze audience engagement metrics and make recommendations for improvement.
• Troubleshoot technical content issues and liaise with web developers when necessary.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Professional: Training in Digital Media or Online Publishing.
• Experience: 2–3 years of experience in online editing or digital content management.

Core Competencies:
• Strong editing and proofreading skills.
• Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal).
• Knowledge of SEO, metadata tagging, and digital publishing tools.
