JOB DETAILS:

Job Summary:
The Plant Operator II (Chassis Line) is responsible for integrating chassis line composite parts, components and systems and subsystems into the final product.

Salary Scale: KT7(1)
Report to: Plant Operator III
Direct Reports: Plant Operator I

Key Functions:
• Read, interpret and follow basic Chassis Line blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products.
• Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed and integrate chassis line composite parts, components and systems and subsystems according to measurements.
• Use hand tools and power tools to integrate chassis line composite parts, components and systems and subsystems into the final product.
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered, and safe work environment observing and practicing high standards of health, safety, and environment.
• Lead, mentor, develop, coach, train and appraise subordinates and peers to help them be successful in their roles and to progress in their skills and abilities.
• Develop and implement Monthly Work Plans necessary for executing the above duties and responsibilities and Performance Reports detailing all Chassis Line aspects on the production line.
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Minimum Academic Qualifications
Uganda Vocational Qualification Framework Level II in Motor Vehicle Mechanics or Related Field from a recognized Institution.

Minimum Experience
The applicant should have served a Motor Vehicle Mechanic for at least Two (2) years.

• Ability to understand blueprints, schematic diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
• Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures.
• Interpretation of Technical and Engineering Documentation
