Uganda Biodiversity Fund ( UBF ) is a Trust Fund formed in 2016 through a multi-stakeholder consultative process. UBF strives to address the challenge of lack of sustainable financing for biodiversity conservation in Uganda. UBF's goal is to provide a credible source of funding for biodiversity conservation and natural resources management in Uganda. This is expected to be achieved through implementation of its strategic and business plans covering the period of 20172022. UBF’s Mission is to “serve as a catalyst for mobilizing, managing and channeling financial resources for biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources in Uganda for the benefit of current and future generations and the intrinsic value of nature".

With funding assistance from USAID through Wildlife Conservation Society, UBF would like to recruit three consultants to support the management unit.

LEGAL ADVISOR/FIRM
UBF is seeking the services of a licensed legal firm to act as its Legal Advisor on a retainer basis. The purpose of UBF Legal Advisor is to provide guidance in all legal matters pertaining to the formal operations and engagements of the organization.

INTERNAL AUDITOR/FIRM
The internal auditing firm will be hired on retainer basis and will be responsible for ensuring that the organization’s Financial Statements and transactions are regularly checked so as to guarantee compliance with standard practices and requirements by the funding agencies.

FUNDRAISING/MARKETING CONSULTANT
The main purpose of this consultancy is to support UBF to implement marketing and fundraising activities/ events. The consultant will support conceptualization, organization and implementation of fundraising events targeting Uganda’s Private sector and the general public to raise a minimum of UL-5X b Billion shillings between 2018-2020. The successful individual /firm will work with the support of UBF technical team and members of the Board of Trustees.
