Job details:
Communication for Development Foundation Uganda (CDFU) is a non-governmental organization that provides Development Communication services aimed at influencing positive behaviors for the social development of men, women and children. CDFU is a partner on the USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in East Central Uganda Activity (USAID/Uganda RHITES EC). The purpose of this project is implementation of a comprehensive integrated investment in regional health, nutritional assistance and HIV/AIDS programs. This five-year activity targets 11 districts in East-Central Uganda. CDFU wishes to recruit qualified Ugandans to fill-in the following post:
Position: Project Officers (BCC) Community Mobilisation (3 positions)
Reports to: BCC Specialist
Commitment: Full time
Location/ Duty stations: District Clusters in Busoga sub-region

Job Summary: To provide BCC support to program activities including community mobilisation, mentoring and monitoring of all stakeholders at all levels down to the household level, implementing documenting and reporting of all BCC activities of the project.

Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Health, Social Sciences, Population or related field.
• Must have at least 3 years’ experience in implementing Social and Behaviour Change Communication(SBCC) interventions.
• Demonstrate knowledgeable practice of working with districts, non- governmental and community based organizations as well as government departments.
• Must have experience working at the community level to implement BCC interventions. Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as a team player.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal communication.
• Good presentation and writing skills.
• Computer skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

(Note: Ability to speak and understand Lusoga or Luganda local languages will be an added advantage. )
