JOB DETAILS:
Masaka Diocesan Medical Services Ltd under Caritas Masaka Diocesan Development Organization ( MDDO ) with support from UCMB and Rakai Health Sciences Program invites applications from suitably qualified persons for the post of a COUNSELLOR to be posted at Kitaasa, Buyoga, Makukulu and Katimba Health centre III’s located in Bukomansimbi and Ssembabule districts. (Number of posts 4).

This is a one year employment opportunity with possibility of renewal subject to performance and funds availability.

The Counsellor will otter quality HIV counselling services to clients, family members and communities. This entails pre and post-test HIV counselling at all service sections of the health facility, adherence support for ART, TB and prophylactic treatment. Linkage and referral services to care, conduct health education, offer outreach HIV counselling to key and priority populations, otter assisted partner notification services, index client tracing as well as conducting home visits.

Qualifications:
Diploma holder in humanities with HIV counselling certificate from a recognized institution and demonstrable practical experience in counselling. A bachelor's degree in a related field will be an added advantage.
