Background
Pinnacle Security Ltd (PSL) is 100% Ugandan owned company that is involved in the provision of bespoke security, risk management, firefighting and emergency response solutions in the East African region.

Pinnacle Security Ltd has been contracted by TotalEnergies E&P Uganda to provide Emergency and Fire-Fighting Services for the Tilenga Development Project operated by Total Energies E&P Uganda. The project is located in Buliisa and Nwoya districts.

PSL therefore hereby invites suitable Ugandans to fill the following positions on the Emergency Response and Fire Fighting Services on the Tilenga Project.

Fire Tender Team Leader and Trainer (4 vacancies)

Qualifications and Experience
• Diploma in science of fire, public administration or any related course
• Minimum 5 years' working experience in Oil and Gas firefighting and emergency response
• Qualified firefighter team leader
• Qualified fire engine driver
• Firefighting trainer
• SCBA trainer
• Fire engine operator trainer is an added advantage
• Advanced first aider trainer is an added advantage
• Qualified firefighter team leader
• Qualified fire engine driver
• Firefighting trainer
• SCBA trainer
• Fire engine operator trainer is an added advantage
• Advanced first aider trainer is an added advantage
• Practitioner certificate
• Knowledge of fire investigation or chemistry/science and combustion is an added advantage
• Short courses in occupational health, safety or any related field is an added advantage
• Computer literate
• Must be physically fit i.e. present a medical fitness certificate
• Defensive driving skills
• Valid driver's license i.e. Class DH or CM or any equivalent
• Sufficient knowledge of traffic laws
• Clean driving record
• Proficiency in English is a requirement, French an added advantage

Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Day to day management of the Fire Safety Training team.
• Ensure efficient and safe response in case of emergency.
• Knowledge transfer to the fire fighters during daily on job training
• Lead daily fitness training
• Conducting observations of staff in the teaching environment.
• Ensure qualifications are fit for purpose.
• Delivery of Fire Safety related programs to a range of customers including Fire and Rescue Services, the Public Sector and Private Sector clients.
• Marking delegate assignments in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback and additional support where this is required.
• Maintaining up to date knowledge of the relevant qualification standards and embedding changes into delivery.
• Maintain current knowledge of Fire Safety developments, changes in legislation.
• Supervise on-site maintenance of all the fire department equipment and vehicles
• Supervise maintenance and inspection
