Reports to: Director Medical Services-Global Health Rescue Ltd

Responsible for

• Clinical officers
  
• Nursing officers
  

Qualifications:

• An MBChB Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution.
  
• A Master’s Degree is an added advantage
  

Experience: At least 2 (two) years of relevant working experience, one (1) of which should have been at the level of medical officer

Other requirements:

• Should be a person of high integrity, with excellent management, communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Must be registered and licensed with Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council
  

Key outputs:

• Patients diagnosed, treated, reviewed & evaluated;
  
• Public health practices promoted;
  
• Research activities & Health data collected;
  
• Outreach Health Service Programmes implemented;
  
• Continued professional development done;
  
• Professional and Service codes of conduct and ethics enforced;
  
• Periodic reports prepared; and
  
• Accountability for financial and other resources carried out
  

Duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for playing a role in diagnosis, treatment and management of patients
  
• Evaluates patients and refers them for specialized health care.
  
• Actively participates in the delivery of quality health care to patients.
  
• Adheres to the professional Code of Conduct and Ethics.
  
• Takes part in Outreach and community health programmes.
  
• Participates in research activities and health data collection.
  
• Compiles and submitting periodic reports.
  
• Pro-actively participates in continuing Professional Development Programmes.
  
• Performs any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
