Job details:
Communication for Development Foundation Uganda ( CDFU ) is a non-governmental organization that provides Development Communication services aimed at influencing positive behaviors for the social development of men, women and children. CDFU is a partner on the USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Eastern Uganda Activity (USAID/Uganda RHITES E).The activity will support the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 21 districts with attention to equity and underserved populations. All positions are located in Mbale except for one in Karamoja.

Position: 5 Project Officers (BCC) –Community Mobilisation
Reports to: BCC Advisor
Commitment: Full time .
Duty stations: District Clusters in Bukedi, Bugisu, Sebie, Teso & Karamoja sub-regions in Eastern region.

Job Summary: To provide BCC support to program activities including community mobilisation, mentoring and monitoring of all stakeholders at all levels down to the household level, implementing, documenting and reporting of all BCC activities of the project.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Communication, Health, Social Sciences, Population or related field. Must have at least 3 years’ experience in implementing Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) interventions. -Demonstrate knowledgeable practice of working with districts, non-governmental and community based organizations as well as government departments. Must have experience working at the community level to implement BCC interventions. Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as a team player. Demonstrate good interpersonal communication. Good presentation and writing skills. Computer skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point. (Note: Ability to speak and understand at least one local language in the cluster areas above will be an added advantage).
