To better understand how some conservation activities have the potential to result in unintended negative impacts, WWF is seeking to hire a consultant to conduct an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and subsequently prepare an Environmental and Social Mitigation Framework (ESMF) to address E&S risks and enhance positive benefits and outcomes from WWF and ICGP activities
Objectives of the assignment The overall objective of this assignment is to conduct an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) and subsequently prepare an Environmental and Social Mitigation Framework (ESMF) to address Environment and Social (E&S) risks and enhance positive benefits and outcomes from WWF and ICGP activities.
The Specific Objectives of the assignment are;
Conduct an ESIA/assessment and identify risks from WWF and IGCP interventions in the Bwindi
Mgahinga (BMCA) sub-landscape as described in task 1-4 2
Assess how equitable the current mitigation arrangements are, and develop mitigation measures.
Develop an ESMF with appropriate mitigation plans for the E&S risks identified in BMCA sub-landscape.
