Interaid Uganda Limited (IAU) is a nongovernmental humanitarian national organization established in 1988, and duly registered with the N60 Board and NGO Forum. lAU is involved in programs geared towards the protection and improvement of lives of disadvantaged people living in urban and rural areas in Uganda in the Great Lakes Region. lnteraid Uganda is focused on its thematic areas of Rights Protection, Education, Livelihood & Food Security, Health (HlV&AlDS; Malaria; Maternal and Reproductive Health), Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH), Environment and Disaster Management and good Management and Governance systems. |nteraid is inviting potential and interested candidates to fill the following positions.

JOB TITLE: Accountant
NO OF POSTS: 1
REPORTS TO: Executive Director
DUTY STATION: Kampala Head Office

Role Summary
The Accountant will primarily be responsible for developing, reviewing and monitoring the implementation of financial systems and procedures that conforms to professional standards and organizational guidelines

Person Specification

• A suitable candidate for the position of Accountant, should poses a university degrees in Commerce, Business Administration, Science in Accounting with accounting option orany other related qualification.
• Professional certification with ACCA or CPAU.
•  A minimum of seven years relevant work experience in the same role handling project related role
•  Excellent communication skills both oral and written communication.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems like PASTEL.
• Ability to pay attention to detail
•  Good team player.
• Good computer skills.
•  Excellent analytical skills.
•  Investigative skills.
•  High level of integrity
