Mt Elgon Hospital Mbale Ltd located on Plot 10-12, Independence Avenue, in Mbale Municipality is a private hospital which has been in operation since 2010 with a mission of providing quality clinical services
The hospital seeks self-driven young professionals to fill the following vacancies.
2.Hospital Accountant reports to – The Chief Executive Officer (1)
A minimum of an Accounting first degree and ACCA Part 2 or CPA equivalent and three (3) years demonstrative working experience is required preferably with a health facility. Experience in using Quick books is a must have.
Main Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reports, prepare annual statutory accounts and effectively participate in the external audit, avail necessary input to ensure effective control of income, cash flow and expenditure.
• Ensure Implementation of approved accounting procedures/internal controls across the business and suggest regular improvements to internal controls.
• Prepare the monthly payroll with accurate statutory deductions, ensure deduction of staff advances and other appropriate deductions are made.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of all accounting records,
• Manage performance of accounts payables and receivables, ensuring regular appraisals and timely feedbacks
• Collect budget input data, prepare and consolidate budgets
• .Understand and address the training needs of subordinates, ensure discipline within the team.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
