Contract: 2 years renewable
Job summary:
The accountant will be part of the accounting team supporting the efficient management of group finances and will be reporting to the Directors.
Job Duties and responsibilities:
• Document financial transactions by entering account information.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing daily reports.
• Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities in accounting department.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Prepare Monthly Profit & Loss Reports
• Set up Financial Controls to ensure orderly management of group finances
• Liaising with Tax Consultants & Authorities for efficient Tax Planning
• Prepare Annual Financial Statements & manage the annual audit
Accountant Skills and Qualifications:
• Second upper honors degree in Accounting with excellent A ‘level results
• Should be CPA/ACCA qualified
• A minimum of 3 years working experience in a similar position.
• Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, time management, data entry management, and knowledge in general math.
• Experience in auditing is an added advantage.
• Excellent command in MS Excel is imperative
• Operational Command in the accounting package Quick Books
