Wizarts Media is a content production house whose core business is making radio and television programmes. These
are in form of advert spots, talk shows, documentaries, magazine shows, dramas, news, features and short films.
Description: Accountant

Job Purpose: Provides financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data; preparing reports.
Accountant Job Duties:
• Prepares budgets for the various jobs, tracks performance against budget and ensure value for money is always attained.
• Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
• Advise management and Board on financial matters regarding the company.
• Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
• Maintains financial security by following internal controls and implementing controls in areas of weakness identified.
• Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
• Complies with local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing
• adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions which may include:
o Filling different statutory obligations of the company and its employeeseg Value Added Tax (VAT),
Income Tax for Employees (PAYE), National Social Security Fund for employees (NSSF) and Income Tax for the company at the end of every financial year.
• Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Performtimely monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts. Liase with the Company’s external parties (auditors, tax authorities) and ensure provision of adequate information required.
• Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree , CPA/ACCA
• CPA/ACCA are of added advantage
• 2 years experience in a finance role • Good excel skills
• You are fluent in both written and spoken English.
• Experience with compiling monthly financial reports
• perience with using accounting systems e.g. QuickBooks
• Experience of payroll processing + knowledge of local statutory & tax requirements
