Overview
In order to achieve the project objectives, SITES has identified the need for an Accounts Clerk consultant to work under supervision of the Finance & Compliance Manager at SITES to conduct various activities.

This role is a consultancy and not a full time position. It will be based in Kampala, Uganda with ocassional travel to the field & upcountry regions.

Responsibilities
• Manage the registration and processing of invoices and claims received.
• Conduct thorough review and validation of contracts with suppliers and contractors.
• Calculate and process cash advances for staff and Government officials in a timely manner.
• Ensure the accountability of cash advances obtained by staff and Government officials.
• Scrutinize fuel log sheets for vehicles and associated documentation.
• Provide assistance in the preparation of quarterly VAT reports.
• Support in the preparation of withholding tax (WHT) payments.
• Perform administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, filing, and archiving financial documents.
• Execute any additional responsibilities assigned by the Finance & Compliance Manager

Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
• At least two (2) years’ experience working in a busy Finance/Accounts department.
