Job details:
The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated individual to fill the role of an AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN.

POSITION: AIR CONDITIONING TECHNICIAN
REPORTS TO: HEAD OF ENGINEERING
DUTY STATION: KAMPALA

Description of Purpose: To install, maintain and service air/conditioning and refrigeration equipment in order to reduce equipment failure.

Key Result Areas:

• Scheduling and carrying out maintenance and service of Air Handling Units, Central Chillers and Split air conditioning units.
• Maintenance and service of ancillary equipment for printing presses. This will include drying units, central chillers and refrigeration systems.
• Liaise with selected contractors to carry out installations.
• Inventory and tracking of spare parts for air conditioning units.
• Daily logging and reporting on equipment performance and status.

Qualification and Experience:

• An Ordinary Diploma in Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in lair conditioning in a factory setting.
• Excellent communication and inter personal skills.
• Good analytical skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Should be flexible, committed and keen to deliver on key targets.
• Willingness to work long hours.
• Readiness to travel upcountry on short notice.
• Computer knowledge is an added advantage.
