APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE FOR THE GENERATION OF ELECTRICITY FOR OWN USE FROM THE TILENGA GAS-FIRED POWER PLANT WITH A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 80 MWe AT THE TILENGA CENTRAL PROCESSING FACILITY IN BULIISA DISTRICT

The Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) has under Section 33 of the Electricity Act, 1999, Chapter 145 of the Laws of Uganda, as amended by Act No. 4 of 2022, received an Application for a Generation of Electricity for Own-Use License from TotalEnergies EP Uganda.

The GPS Coordinates (WGS84) (deg) for the specific location of the Proposed Project are as follows:

The License will enable TotalEnergies EP Uganda to Construct and Generate a Maximum of 80 MWe for Own-Use from the Tilenga Gas-Fired Power Plant proposed to be located at the Tilenga Central Processing Facility in Buliisa District.

Interested persons are invited to inspect the Application/Notice from the addresses below:

Pursuant to Section 35 of the Act, the Authority invites Directly Affected Parties and Public Agencies/Authorities in the areas affected by the Project to submit in writing (by post, hand delivery, email, or other recorded delivery) any objections, if any and comments in respect of the Project to the Authority at the address listed above di via email at: secretary@era.go.ug  not later than 30 (Thirty) days from the date of publication of this Notice.
