Paidha black Angles Sports Club (PBA FC) is one of the historical and most prominent clubs in the West Nile region that started as a community fan-based club in 1979 by a group of concerned members of Paidha community in Zombo district. The original Team of players included groups of talented youths from within Paidha and other parts of the country including: Nebbi, Zombo, Pakwach, Arua, Karamoja, Soroti, Kampala, Jinja, Mukono, Koboko, Moyo, Gulu, Lira, Kitgum, Apac, etc. The club underwent transition in management where it was mainly the business community leading the club and later on the Town Council Authority giving it major support to the current leadership where mainly community leaders have taken full charge of the club. The club is managed by the congress which appoints executive committee headed by the chairman executive committee and other appointed officials in standing committees and the secretariat headed by the CEO.

After competing in the 2nd tier division (FUFA Big League) for the past 3 seasons, Paidha Black Angels Football Club on 20th May 2018 got promoted to the Uganda Premier league. This achievement has created a lot of excitement within the 3 districts of Zombo, Nebbi, Pakwach and neighboring Districts of Arua and Democratic Republic of Congo where PBA Football club has got a huge following. As a result of this great achievement, the club is now obliged to adhere to FUFA Premier League requirements that include having a team of well qualified Technical staffs to take on some of the sporting and technical roles in the club. Paidha Black Angels Football Club, therefore, seeks suitably qualified persons to fill the positions listed hereunder. Please see Terms of Reference of the said positions below:

Post: Assistant Coach
Reports to: Head Coach
Responsible for: Junior team players
Description:
The Assistant Coach will work as an assistant of the Head coach to plan the strategies and the overall game. S/He works under the direction of the Head coach. Assists the head to recruit football talent and guide them to play fair game.

General Responsibility:

• Aid the players to develop their technical skills. Instill in the players the spirit of the game.
• In association with the head of the Head coach plan strategies and the game.
• Equip the players in training drills during the practice sessions.
• He will always be on the lookout of new talent and encourage the players to be on their best foot.
• Inculcate a team spirit among the players as well boost the confidence of the players
• Maintain the records of the players.
• Look into the correspondence with the parents or the players themselves to keep them abreast with their everyday progress, to develop the confidence of the players.
• Undertake all reasonable tasks assigned by the first team manager.
• Continuously look to identify opportunities to improve operations and practices in the players coaching department.
• Any other duties as required by the football club within the reasonable demands of the role.

Essential Skills

• He must maintain an image of a positive role model.
• Good organizing skills to assist the head coach in making good game plans. He must possess a mastery over the game, with relative experience and talent.
• Significant motivational skills to encourage the players to play a free game.
• The Assistant coach must have in depth knowledge of the different strategies implemented to play the game. He must be physically as well as mentally strong.
• Has acquired the skill to play in the spirit of the game. He must have an attractive personality and excellent interpersonal skills
• Leadership qualities to coordinate the game under the direction of the head coach.
• Must have patience and have outstanding quality to perform under pressure, be an inspiration to the sportspersons to play in the spirit of the game.
• Maintain a calm stance on losing the game without putting the blame or discouraging the players.

Minimum Qualifications:

• CAF “C” Coaching License or equivalent
• Track record of developing individual players to an elite level
•  Prior experience coaching at the relevant age level within a top club

Remuneration:
Remuneration package is attractive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
