HMH-Rainbow Ltd. is the parent company of the Yo Kuku! brand of chicken. It is a joint venture between Hudani Manji Holdings Ltd, a Ugandan-family owned business and RCL Foods Ltd, the largest producer and marketer of chicken in South Africa.
The integrated business consisting of a feed mill, broiler farms and a processing facility is nestled on 64 acres in a remote area of Semuto, about 50kms outside of Kampala City.

  Immediate subordinates Technical operators, packing operators, stores assistant, dispatch clerk
  Working hours 8am to 5pm (But will vary with needs and may require flexibility in timings and working long hours)
  Overall purpose of the job To ensure the efficient management of milling, packaging and distribution of feeds. Ensure quality procedures are followed and planned and breakdown maintenance are done in both plants and auxiliary machines.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Liaise with feed mill manager and prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
• Ensure full implementation of production plans to meet our farms, out growers and commercial feed customer needs.
• Ensure quality of raw materials, online process and finished goods is maintained as per standards.
• Liaise with maintenance staff to have all machines serviced and maintained as per agreed periodical schedules.
• Show leadership to all feed mill staff in behavior so that work plans are implemented in a conducive environment.

Specification
Knowledge and Skills Essential; Management experience in FMCG environment
Good manufacturing principles, Procurement
Desirable;
HR related training, experience.
Work Experience Minimum three years experience in a FMCG industry at mgt level especially in food/feed milling industry.
Academic Qualification Minimum Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, food science and technology or any other related field in a recognized institution.
Language skills Fluent in English
Other skills and Characteristics Flexible and Honest with good communication skills. Knowledge of first aid, fire fighting, safety regulations and feed standards will be an added advantage
Age Minimum 30 years of age
