JOB DETAILS:
Responsibilities:
- Support the Underwriting Manager in daily operations.
- Evaluate and approve risks within authority levels.
- Mentor and train underwriting team members.
- Assist in developing underwriting guidelines and risk frameworks.
- Review complex submissions and collaborate on pricing/coverage.
- Liaise with brokers, agents, and internal departments.
- Contribute to audits, compliance, and process improvements.
- Ensure adherence to underwriting policies.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of market trends.
- Leadership and team motivation abilities.
- Autonomous work ethic.
- Strong negotiation and networking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years in underwriting, with 2+ years in a senior role.
- Degree in Business (preferably Insurance).
- Diploma in Insurance (ACII or equivalent).
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: bachelor degree
