Overview
Uganda Technology And Management University (UTAMU) is a private University in Uganda founded in 2012 and licensed by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to do teaching, research and community engagement. UTAMU offers experiential and outstanding learning and teaching for 21st Century students through an enriched learning experience that blends face to face and virtual learning.
The university combines Management and Technology in all its programmes and has highly qualified and experienced faculty in these two broad disciplines. The aim of offering management and technology modules in all our programmes is to equip all our graduates with skills required for 21st century workers namely; critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity and innovation.

UTAMU invites applications from suitably, qualified applicants for the following full time POSITION.
Job title: Associate Professor / Dean
i. A PhD in a relevant field
ii. Have served either as a Senior Lecturer in a recognized university for a period of at least one year or as a researcher in a reputable research institution for a period of at least two years;
iii. Have evidence of contemporary pedagogical skills;
iv. Show evidence of active participation in writing fundable research grants.
v. Show evidence of activeness in research, publication and scholarship in his/her area of specialization. This should be in terms of
a. Books published;
b. Book chapters published;
c. Peer reviewed refereed conference proceedings; and
d. Peer reviewed refereed journal articles.
vi. Show evidence of:
a. Supervision of at least seven graduate students to completion;
b. Service to the community; and
c. Membership to at least one professional body.
vii. The Associate Professor shall hold a contractual position for a period of five years and shall be eligible for re-appointment subject to satisfactory performance.
Job Title: Associate Professor / Dean Business School
Responsible to: Vice Chancellor

Purpose of the Job
To provide academic and administrative leadership in the Business School and teach undergraduate and post graduate students at the University through well researched and prepared lectures; maintain academic and professional excellence through research and dissemination of research findings, and to contribute to the university and wider society through community service.
