JOB DETAILS:
Trocaire is the overseas development agency of the Irish Catholic Church. We are a partnership agency with a focus on Food and Resource Rights, Women's Empowerment and Humanitarian response. Trocaire Uganda is currently recruiting for three positions viz,

Business Development Grants Manager, Kampala — reporting to Country Director Uganda (Ref: BDGM - TRO-UGA-O01)
2-Year renewable Kampala, Uganda with frequent travel to AcholifTeso and some International travel.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Lead the review and implementation of Trocaire's country funding strategy, in line with country programme needs and external funding opportunities.
  
• Lead and advise on the development of good quality and well- designed funding proposals for submission to institutional and private donors. This will involve linking in with the Global Partnerships and Funding team in HQ in terms of quality assurance and ensuring value for money, cost recovery etc.
  
• Keep up to date with donor regulations and communicate effectively with relevant team members, ensuring links with HQ in terms ofglobal donor strategies and updates on regulations.
  
• Provide training to staff and partners around proposal development and report writing.
  

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years‘ experience working in the development and humanitarian sector
  
• Minimum 3 years‘ experience of proposal and report writing for major
  international donors including the European Union (DevCo and ECHO), Irish Aid, UK DFID, other European Governments, UN, and other relevant trusts foundations.
  
• 3 years‘ experience of working with a partnership focused organisation.
  
• Proven track record of securing institutional funding from successful grant applications.
  
• Demonstrable experience of managing grants co financed by the donors such as: European Union [DevCo and ECHO), Irish Aid, UK DFID, other European Governments, UN, US Government funding (USAID, State Depts.), and other relevant trusts foundations.
