JOB DETAILS:
Quality Chemical Staff Multipurpose Co-op Society Ltd has been operational since 2011 and is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act CAP 112 certificate number 10416/RCS.
Its vision is to be a leading Sacco promoting prosperity of members through enhanced saving and access to convenient credit The Sacco is looking at expanding its business tentacles outside savings and credit and is therefore looking for a self-driven, energetic and strategic thinker with clear vision and solid networking and communication skills to fill the position of Business Development Officer.
He/She must be a person of integrity who will work as a trusted and integral team member reporting directly to the board, responsible for developing new business opportunities and finding new clients and leveraging the Sacco reputation and his/her own industry contacts to best effect. .

Job Description
• Developing growth strategies and plans.
• Develop, Manage and grow new businesses.
• Inception and development of business ideas and overseeing their implementation.
• Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition.
• Writing business proposals.
• Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs.
• Researching business opportunities and viable income streams.
• Following industry trends locally and internationally.
• Finding and developing new markets and improving sales.
• Developing quotes and proposals for clients.
• Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met.
• Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills.
• Researching organisations and individuals to find new opportunities.

Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in business, marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing or related field.
• Strong communication skills and IT fluency.
• Ability to manage complex projects and multi-tasking.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good entrepreneurial skills.
• Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive and handle uncertainty.
• Proficient in word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Proven ability to negotiate.
• Experience with design and implementation of business development strategy.
• The ability to self-motivate and motivate a team.
