The Activity aims to help individuals, households, and systems maintain improved food and water security under the following objectives• Improved water supply and integrated water resource management. increased equitable access to sanitation and hygiene services for Households and schools
• Improved agriculture-based livelihoods.
• Increased consumption of nutritious foods among women and children
• Expanded access to financial resources for women, men, youth, digenous people, and marginalized groups
• Improved local capacity to manage shocks and stressors.
WFSA aims to increase equitable access to safe drinking water and water for production in the Kyoga basin to sustain inclusive growth and improve hygiene and sanitation among the communities and schools. The activity also aims to increase access to appropriate and reliable physical and digital market infrastructure in four climate-risk districts in the Karamoja region In addition, the activity will aim to improve school water and sanitation in selected districts across 21 districts within the Kyoga Catchment area The project encompasses the construction of
Water facilities for production, consumption, and multi-use in Karamoja districts. These may include borehole drilling or rehabilitation, solar-powered systems, mini-piped systems, extensions of existing piped systems, or the construction or rehabilitation of valley dams.
Agriculture market infrastructure in Karamoja districts. This includes livestock market enclosures with loading ramps, VIP latrines, offices, and solar-powered water schemes to serve both livestock and human consumption. They may also include market sheds with commodity stalls and cold chain rooms.
Sanitation infrastructure will focus on separate Ventilated Improved Pit (VIP) latrines with urinals for boys and girls, changing rooms, handwashing facilities, rainwater harvesting structures, and incinerators for schools in the Kyoga Basin.

Firms should ONLY apply as either A&E or construction or Environmental firms
