Mildmay Uganda is a Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/ AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services. Mildmay Uganda is also an accredited Institution of Higher Learning offering academic and short courses in health care.

Mildmay Uganda is running projects within central Uganda through which it is implementing evidence based health systems strengthening interventions aimed at accelerating HIV epidemic control. Mildmay Uganda is, therefore, looking for competent, innovative, and highly motivated individuals to join our team for the following position:

Reports to: Regional Manager

Job Summary: Provide Technical and Programmatic oversight and direction in Clinical Systems Strengthening at district, facility and community levels including strategic planning and health care delivery tor HIV prevention care and treatment through enhanced Institutional capacity and accountability for the HIV response

Job Requirements: The successful applicant will must have an MBChB, plus Master’s Degree in a health related field. S/he must be in possession of a valid practicing license

• A minimum of 5 years of progressively increasing responsibility in managing comprehensive and complex technical assistance in HIV or other health programmes
• 5 years‘ experience in clinical work with emphasis on HIV management
•  Demonstrated experience coordinating similar projects involving management of multi-million dollar budgets/portfolios
• Proven record of aligning diverse multi-level teams with project mission and vision

Person Specifications:

• Technical proficiency in HIV/infectious Diseases program design, implementation, and M&E.
•  Demonstrated subject matter expertise in HIV management, TB management, Health Service delivery or Health Systems Strengthening
• Dynamic systems thinking, high taste for innovation, and continuous quality improvement
• Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills.

Other qualities for all positions are: Good communication (oral and written) skills, teaching/presentation skills; Analytical/Decision making skills; Problem solving skills; proficiency in various MS office packages. Committed to quality and excellence, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible, reliable, and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda.
