Arrow Security Systems Limited is a security company formed in 2014 and provides security services which among others include guarding, alarm response, tracking, cash transfers, events security, specialized security training, ICT security surveillance, security dogs, and investigation.

JOB TITLE Chief Finance Officer
REPORTS Chief Executive Officer

Responsibilities
• Participation in strategy formulation, coordination and implementation of the strategic and operational plans of the company, assess the financial requirements in these plans and advice executives on alternative financial strategy.
• Manage the budgetary process, including formulation, monitoring and reporting.
• Manage and control working capital, cash flow projections and always maintain the integrity of the company’s cash and bank transactions’ balances.
• In conjunction with the CEO, establish and manage banking relationships including negotiating bank facilities and their effective monitoring to ensure compliance with their terms.
• Manage and control company’s liabilities such as tax liabilities, insurance, leases, contracts, guarantees and other commitments and including advising senior executives on financial risks and implications of proposed events, agreements and commitments with third parties prior to their approvals.
• Establishing, maintaining and enforcing adherence to accounting policies, financial regulations and procedures and systems of internal controls.
• Preparation of timely and reliable financial reports for both internal and statutory reporting purposes including facilitating the internal and external audit process.
• Provide inputs to the CEO in preparation of Board papers in areas of financial control and performance.
• Supervise the daily operations of the finance department.

Education and training
• Must be a certified accountant with at least 5 years’ relevant experience, 3 of which in a senior finance management (leadership) position within a reputable organization.
• A degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or Statistics would be preferred.
• A master’ degree in Business Management or Finance/Accounting would be an added advantage.

Skills and experience
• Proven experience in broad range of financial technical finance competences including financial planning, financial control and reporting.
• Proven finance functional and general leadership competence.
• Proven ability to build and develop a Finance function.
• Vast knowledge of statutory tax management
• Proven experience of implementing financial controls and/or financial risk management frameworks
• Experience of having worked in either a large financial institution or background in large commercial setting or mainstream accounting/audit firms will be an added advantage
• Competencies in IFRS provisions & compliance, Strategic & financial planning, budgeting and monitoring.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks accounting software.
