We are a brand new TV in Uganda with primary objective of providing affordable premium content to audiences across Africa. Our mission is to create world class channels that enable Ugandans to access top—notch programming, easily and freely. We are looking for hardworking and talented professionals to fill the following positions:

Chief Finance Officer
Reports to Country General Manager
Department: Finance

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement. direct and evaluate the Company's fiscal function and performance.
  
• Participate in the development of the company's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
  
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programsf strategies and regulatory action.
  
• Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the Country GM and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities.
  
• Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the Company by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the company.
  
• Establish credibility throughout the Company and with the Country GMas an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
  
• Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline.
  
• Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets. .
  
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the Company: i.e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and investments.
  
• Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position.
  
• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
  
• Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the company may enter.

Job specifications:

• MBA or CPA preferred; at least 7 years of applicable business experience of which 3-4must be in a financial leadership role
• Must be a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Excellent communication skills are essential, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management.
• Should have an outstanding knowledge of electronic spreadsheets. S
• olid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles Proficient user of Sage Enterprise finance System.
