Bukedi Diocese (Anglican) Church of Uganda carries out Ghrist‘s work of teaching, preaching, healing and nurturing her people. Working in partnership with compassion International. The Diocese has a ministry of nurturing poor Children, releasing them from poverty in Jesus name. The Diocese invites applications from born again professionals; aged between 21-35 years old for ministry work to fill the post of Child Development Officers in charge of Child Survival Program.

CHILD DEVELOPMENT UFFICER (CDO) IN CHARGE CHILD SURVIVAL PROGRAM.
Child Development Officer in charge of child survival program reports and is supervised by the Project Director. She/he is a team member and must exhibit high sense of integrity, He/she is one of the church staff members in the local church, he /she is working with.

Responsibilities:

• Be a Christian role model for children and their families.
  
• Be an advocate for children
  
• Be creative and innovative in the whole area of child Development
  
• Do the documentation, record keeping/filling of child and mother issues
  
• Ensuring children are in safe, nurturing environment at the project as well as at home.
  
• Child health monitoring and maintenance
  
• Promote health education for both child and mother. 83813

Qualifications, skills and knowledge:

• Minimum qualification is Diploma in Medicine Science, Social Work and Social Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Education and other disciplines from recognized Universities/Institutions.
  
• Child Development programming for an assigned age group
  
• Working knowledge oi basic NGO accounting
  
• Working ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English, Ateso or Lugwere.
  
• Computer skills a must have
  
• Must have at least 2 years’ experience in related fields (Medical officer/Nurse Discipleship, Children Ministry, involvement in Mission and Ministry).

Working Conditions applying to all:

• She/he shall work at a local church project and includes visiting children in their homes and schools.
  
• (Should be prepared to work beyond normal working hours as need arises and travels to the Compassion international Uganda Office from time to time as well as tor training)
