Person Specification
• Maters in a laboratory Sciences;
• PHD in science related subject is an added advantaged;
• GCLP training/ current Allied Health Professions license;
• At least 5 years’ experience in a busy clinical/ research laboratory;
• Experience in biomedical laboratory and working to GCLP standards;
• Previous experience in working in a laboratory Clinical Trials environment or research environment;
• Extensive practical experience across the major medical laboratory disciplines;
• Experience of GCLP & IATA;
• Experience linking with external regulatory agencies;
• Experience in administration and resource management;
• Experience leading quality assurance programs;
• Should possess experience interacting with different departments;
• Managing and supporting different teams;
• Knowledge of GCP/GCLP or other regulatory environments in the workplace;
• Knowledge of safety regulations;
• Ability to show initiative, problem solve and make independent decisions;
• Ability to provide quality training and supervision to staff and students;
• Leadership knowledge;
• Excellent organisational skills;
• Good communication skills in English;
• Ability to take the initiative and solve problems;
• Excellent interpersonal and team working skills with the ability to work with staff at all levels; and,
• Capability to work well with colleagues from other departments.
