JOB DETAILS:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Oversight of the production process
• Reporting of fermentation temperatures and drying moistures
• Management of production experiments
• Reporting of buyer performance boxes and sample outcomes
• Escorting of trucks delivering fresh cocoa to different areas of Uganda
• Organization and cleanliness of production site and storage areas
• Care and tracking over company items and assets
• Fulfillment of certification requirements as advised by management
• Support fieldwork and procurement work as needed
• Completion of relevant documentation for production and storage of cocoa
• Coordinating receiving and sending of packages to/from offices including cocoa samples
• Ensure production schedule is met
• Ensure production cost is effective
• Make sure products are produced on time and are of good quality
• Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules when needed
• Monitor product standards and implement quality programs
• Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
• Identify training and development needs
• Ensure planned KPI’s are met or exceeded
• Develop and motivate the cost-effective alternatives and improvements to the production process
• Maximize the efficiency of production lines and ensuring the effective employment utilization
• Ensure continual improvement with overall quality of product
• Must be familiar with and enforce SQF requirements

Skills and Qualifications:
• Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Food Processing or related qualification
• 5 years’ experience in the use of various types of manufacturing machinery systems and tools
• Demonstrate values that are aligned with those of the company – Excellence, Integrity, Honesty,
• Customer centricity, Teamwork, hardworking and trainable
• Organizational and leadership abilities
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
