Overview
In order to achieve the project objectives SITES has identified the need for a Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation (CLA) Specialist.
The Collaboration, Learning and Adaptation (CLA) Specialist will oversee the development and execution of the SITES CLA strategy and learning agenda. The primary responsibility is to synthesize learnings from the Health, HIV and OVC portfolio at SITES and among implementing partners and stakeholders including USAID, package the learnings and share them for adaptation. The CLA Specialist will also enhance collaboratives and support implementing partners to adapt learnings for improved programmatic performance. The CLA Specialist works under the direct supervision of the SITES Team Lead for Learning, Knowledge Management & Capacity Building.
Responsibilities
Tasks:
• Develop a collaboration, learning and adapting (CLA) strategy, agenda and workplan for Health, HIV and OVC in collaboration with the SITES technical teams
• Based on CLA principles and the USAID CDCS, synthesize learnings from SITES and other partners’ interventions and put in place knowledge management packages that are adaptable to scale.
• Support relevant USAID implementing partners to learn and adapt learnings for improved performance.
• Support technical teams at SITES and among implementing partners to identify and synthesize learnings and use them for adaptation to programming.
• Prepare and oversee use of guidelines for learning and adaptation.
• Facilitate meetings and learning events at SITES, and when required among implementing partners and stakeholders, including USAID.
• Identify resources that enable SITES to enhance CLA among implementing partners.
• Build the capacity of technical teams at SITES and among implementing partners to apply CLA.
• Monitor, evaluate and document the use of CLA and its impacts on Health, HIV and OVC programming.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
• An advanced University Degree (Masters) in Public Health or related field.
• Specialized training in Knowledge management and transfer.
• Minimum three (3) years of work experience in knowledge management/transfer. A clear understanding and experience with the principles, design, implementation and evaluation of collaboration, learning and adaptation in knowledge transfer is required.
• Minimum three (3) years of work experience in project management in a health or related development organization.
• Demonstrable strengthen in written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills. Demonstrated ability to convey messages through clear and concise communication with relevance to target audience.
• Strong analytic skills with attention to detail.
• High level of competency with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
