JOB DETAILS:
Farm Source Ltd (FSL) is a private limited Firm established in 2006 to provide Veterinary Medicines, Agricultural Chemicals, improved seeds, and extension services. To date, the firm is engaged in import and distribution in all regions of Uganda, farm production in Mukono and retail through sales outlets in the districts of Mukono and Kamuli. Currently FSL seeks to consolidate its position through effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Salary Grade: F3
Job Purpose: To ensure clear understanding of the company values, mission, products, services and results by both internal and external stakeholders as well as protect of the corporate image.

  Key Roles and Responsibilities:
a) Ensure a clear understanding of the organizations values, mission products, services and results by staff and external stakeholders.
b) Develop and implement both strategic and operational plans for communication, Customer & Public Relations
c) Routinely compile and disseminate reports on products and services delivered and results achieved by the company
d) Establish functional communication systems (Social media), consistently engage stakeholders, monitor and report on their performance
e) Producing monthly performance reports on all programmes and activities implemented
f) Promoting company specific items with focus on newly introduced products by ensuring that they are tried out and accepted by customers.
g) Participate in the business planning, budgeting and review process.
h) Build, Promote a positive corporate image and brand of the company both locally and internationally
i) Establish and maintain positive media relations through press conferences, articles, press releases, radio and TV programmes for both local and international media
j) Identify and advise Management on community issues and relations
k) Enhance coordination and collaboration with partners
l) Carry out protocol functions of the Company on behalf of Management.
m) Oversee the gathering, processing and dissemination of information about the company, as deemed appropriate.
n) Organize Corporate Conferences and Meetings.
o) Any other duties related to the above as required by management

  Person Specifications
a) A Bachelors degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a closely related and relevant discipline from a recognized University.
b) Possession of specialized training or qualifications in Public Relations, from a recognized institution is an added advantage
c) Should have at least two (2) years’ relevant experience from a reputable and busy business entity/organization
d) Ability to travel & work in different parts of the country
