Background
Enabel in Uganda is seeking to recruit a dynamic and competent individuals to fill 2 vacancies for the position of Communication Officer based in Kampala with frequent travels to the Field.
The Communication Officer (s) will lead the implementation of project communication plans with a focus on communication about results and knowledge management. support the implementation of the project communication plans with a focus on results and knowledge management.

Job description
Joining Enabel as a Communication Officer, you will be directly reporting to the Country Communication Officer and you will perform the following key tasks;
• You continuously communicate about achievements at the different stages of the project cycle (events, result reports, annual reports, lessons learned).
• You lead the implementation of communication and knowledge management strategy.
• You are the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) on communication and visibility. This includes building the capacity of partners on communication.
• You lead the designing and production of communication materials.
• You conduct quality assurance of communication and visibility products.

Your Profile
• A Master’s degree in Mass Communications, Journalism, Strategic Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or any other related fields.
• At least 5 years of proven and relevant experience in communications.
• At least 3 years’ experience in effectively using print media design software such as InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, Infogram etc.
• Excellent written and spoken English; expressing ideas and opinions clearly in a structured manner that appeals to the reader/listener.
• Multi-media knowledge and skills (content management systems for websites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) & audio-visual media.
• Proven photography and video production skills
• Proactive and creative: Able to recognize opportunities and act on them; self-starter, coming up with original solutions for job-related problems, devising new methods of work and solution-oriented.
• Strong analytical skills: identifying problems; recognizing significant information; making connections between data; and tracing possible causes of problems.
