JOB DETAILS:
Purpose of the job
Support the internal and external communications of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead on content creation for social media channels, newsletters, and print media.
• Lead on managing NUWODU's social media channels in line with her communication strategy.
• Regularly update and manage NUWODU's website.
• Create and curate engaging content relevant to the gender and disability rights movements.
• Monitoring and reporting on social media analytics and supporting digital campaigns where necessary
• Provide communications support for both online and in person fundraising events.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Significant experience of developing accessible and engaging content for all social media platforms.
• Significant experience of managing social media platforms, and improving reach and engagement metrics
• Experience of writing and editing blogs, newsletters, and newspaper
• articles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Strong understanding of the importance of ethical communications, consent and the safe storage and usage of images.
• Ability to prioritize, implement, and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines and with minimal supervision.
• Affinity in working with persons with disabilities especially women with disabilities.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work and build relationships with team members and partners from diverse backgrounds.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Postgraduate diploma in Communications, journalism, or related, relevant subject.
• Five years' work experience and at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Communications for disability development.

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
