Mildmay Uganda is a Christian NGO that offers General and HIV/ AIDS medical services also providing technical support for Ministry of Health Systems to scale up comprehensive HIV/AIDS Services. Mildmay Uganda is also an accredited Institution of Higher Learning offering academic and short courses in health care.

Mildmay Uganda is running projects within central Uganda through which it is implementing evidence based health systems strengthening interventions aimed at accelerating HIV epidemic control. Mildmay Uganda is, therefore, looking for competent, innovative, and highly motivated individuals to join our team for the following position:

Community Systems Strengthening Specialist:
Reports to: Deputy Director Programs

Job Summary: Will lead the development and implementation of a harmonized and integrated community strategy to ensure that all community based interventions are synchronized for effective project outcomes. The position will also facilitate seamless community/facility linkages

Job Requirements: The successful applicant will uphold the Christian ethos of Mildmay Uganda. S/he must have;

• Master’s degree in Sociology, Public Administration, Development Studies, Community Psychology, Public Health
• Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies/Social Sciences/ Community Psychology or other related field
• At least 5 years’ experience in implementing integrated Community based health and referral programs
• Experience implementing MOH and PEPFAR Community Health Frameworks
• Demonstrated experience in a strategic management role translation of corporate goals and objectives into practical outcomes. Person Specifications:
• Technical proficiency in design, implementation, and M&E for A similar projects/programs
• Dynamic systems thinking, high taste for innovation, and continuous quality improvement
• Strong leadership, analytical and organizational skills.

Other qualities for all positions are: Good communication (oral and written) skills, teaching/presentation skills; Analytical/Decision making skills; Problem solving skills; proficiency in various MS office packages. Committed to quality and excellence, and holding the highest levels of integrity and confidentiality. Must be flexible, reliable, and in sympathy with the Christian values of Mildmay Uganda. Evidence of a non-judgmental approach regarding race,
