JOB DETAILS:
Bank of India (U) Ltd is looking for qualified and experienced result oriented individuals to fill the following positions on a contractual basis at Head Office/Branches in Kampala

COMPLIANCE MANAGER (ONE)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
• Evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
• Revise procedures. reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or non-conformity issues.
• Draft. modify and implement BOIUL policies, Collaborate with corporate counsels and all departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.
• Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training.
• Prepare reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.

QUALIFICATION

• Graduate in Law, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum Three (3) years working experience as a Compliance officer in a reputable organization is a MUST.
• Proven experience as Compliance Manager, In-depth knowledge of the industry's standards and regulations.
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping, a business acumen partnered with a dedication I to legality
• An analytical mind able to "see" the complexities of‘ procedures and regulations with excellent l communication skills
• Certified compliance professional is a plus
