Standard Invitation to Bidders

BID NOTICE UNDER OPEN BIDDING

CONSTRUCTION OF BIO LATRINE SYSTEMS IN SELECTED INSTITUTIONS - REF: MEMD/WRKS/2024-2025/00043 EASP

1. The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development under the Electricity Scale-up Project intends to use part of the Constitution of Bio Latrine Systems in selected institutions.
2. The Entity invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the provision of the above works.
3. Bidding shall be conducted in accordance with the procedures contained in the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 (the Act) and the Regulations made under the Act and is open to all bidders.
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document at the address given below at 8(a) from 09:00am to 01:00pm and 02:00pm – 5:00pm.
5. The bidding document in English may be purchased by interested bidders on payment of a non-refundable fee of UGX 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Uganda Shillings).

The method of payment will be by Bank payment advice forms picked by bidders or their authorized representative and obtaining a GENERAL Receipt from the Cash Office. The document will be picked by the bidder’s authorized representative. No liability will be accepted by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Development for loss or late delivery.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below at 8(c) at or before 26th MAY, 2025 at 11:00am.
7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration.

Bid Securing Declaration must be valid until 24th DECEMBER, 2025. Late bids shall be rejected.

Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8(d) at 26th MAY, 2025 at 11:30am.
