JOB DETAILS:
The Ministry of Water & Environment—Water for Production Regional Centre — North has obtained funds for the procurement of consultancy services for feasibility study and detailed design of Akwera irrigation scheme in otuke district. The main objective of the assignment is to improve farm incomes, rural livelihoods, food security and climate resilience through development of irrigation potential. .

The specific objectives of the assignment are; a) Undertake take a detailed feasibility study to determine the most suitable and cost effective irrigation system option. b) To carry out relevant technical investigations and studies and prepare engineering designs and tender documents for irrigation systems and facilities.

The Water and Sanitation Development Facility—North now invites eligible consulting firms (“Consultants") to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consultants should provide information demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the services. The short listing criteria will include: Experience in previous contracts of a similar nature and complexity (Design of irrigation System), presence of key personnel including; Water Resources Engineer, Geotechnicall Structural Engineer, Hydraulicllrrigation Engineer, Hydrologist, Land Surveyor, Environmental Specialist, Sociologist, Irrigation Agronomist, Financial Analyst] Economist.
