JOB DETAILS:
HiveMind is a cutting-edge CO2 drawdown company utilizing natural systems like mycelium to increase plants’ carbon sequestration in soils. VERRA is the premier American VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) qualifier with over 1,500 projects world-wide. HiveMind has been green-lighted to launch our first agroforestry project and are seeking a consultant to work with VERRA’s system to write and submit all the data and paperwork for HiveMind to develop and sell VCUs (Verified Carbon Units.) Candidate should have a Masters, a PhD or is a PhD candidate in soil science, mycology, climatology, REDD+, AFOLU, or environmental science fields. Ideal candidate has experience with VERRA or other VCS organizations either internally vetting programs or externally submitting programs. At least 1 year of professional experience related to REDD+ and/or AFOLU, including policy work, support to jurisdictional programs or carbon project development, preferably working for a standards organization, NGO, government, project developer and/or validation and verification body .
