About the Role:
The Country Leader will be the coach and coordinator of a growing team and organisation. They will have the responsibility and autonomy to shape a young company managing hundreds of electric motorcycles and a few service stations, into a well-recognised brand operating thousands of motorcycles and hundreds of stations.

This role will always offer opportunities to solve problems and constantly find solutions to challenges that would have to be met by a self-starter.

A large part of this role also includes empowering the Zembo team and supporting their initiatives and projects. Success in this role will come with a competitive salary and an equity stake as well. Zembo actively promotes women in leadership and strongly encourages women to apply.

Key Responsibilities:
• Leadership: Lead the team into growing and scaling operations (including import, assembly, and sales of e-motorcycles, construction and operations of solar recharge battery swap stations, sales and after-sales to thousands of boda drivers)
• Processes and Problem-Solving: Build processes and set priorities for the teams resulting in Zembo being efficient at a large scale
• Business development: Support the teams to enable Zembo to deepen and harness relationships with their investors, local authorities and partners
• Strategy: Be involved in the definition of the long-term strategies

• Has experience working in Africa, South America, or Asia
• Uganda-based or willing to relocate
• Experience designing or running distribution networks, agencies or service centres is a plus
